NICHOLAS BOATWRIGHT | Director of ELEMENTARY TRAINING
Mr. Boatwright began his education career as a Teach For America corps member in South Carolina. He worked as a teacher and an instructional coach in South Carolina before joining the Sposato team. Mr. Boatwright holds an M.Ed in Learning and Teaching from Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a B.S. in Biology from College of Charleston.
MICHELLE KALAW | DIRECTOR OF CLASSROOM CULTURE training
Ms. Kalaw began her career as a teaching fellow with Citizen Schools Boston, working at McCormack Middle School in Dorchester, MA. She then worked as a resource teacher and a life skills teacher in the Peace Corps, serving in southern Africa. Prior to joining Sposato, Ms. Kalaw taught upper elementary and middle school science for five years at Ascend Charter School and Success Academy in New York. She holds a B.A. in Biology and Sociology from Columbia University and a Master's in Education from Lesley University.
Clara Kang | Director of Operations
Ms. Kang worked as a Match Corps tutor at Match Community Day School before joining the Sposato team full time. Prior to moving to Boston and joining Match, she taught 5th grade English as a Foreign Language as a Fulbright English teacher in Gwangju, South Korea. She has a B.A. from Haverford College.
RANDALL LAHANN | DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION
Dr. Lahann has served as Director of the Nashville Teacher Residency since 2015; prior to that, he worked as Director of Curriculum at Sposato for seven years. Dr. Lahann holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from Boston College, and a B.A. in History from Grinnell College.
Elena Luna | Director of Partnerships
Prior to joining the Sposato team, Ms. Luna worked at ACE Charter School in San Jose, CA as Principal and before that, served as a national award-winning teacher and Principal at KIPP Adelante, a charter middle school in San Diego. Ms. Luna received her B.A. from San Diego State University and her Master of Arts in Social Sciences in Education from Stanford University.
Laura Mahajan | Director of Coaching
Prior to her role in designing the Sposato program, Ms. Mahajan was a Social Studies teacher in the KIPP middle school in Harlem, NY. She began her career as a Match Corps tutor, and holds her Master of Arts in Teaching from Teachers College at Columbia University, and an A.B. from Princeton University.
Scott McCue | DEAN
Mr. McCue worked as founding Head at Boston Preparatory Charter Public School, from 2002-2012. Before founding BPCPS, he taught History at the Academy of the Pacific Rim Charter School and in the New York City Public Schools. He has a Master of Arts in Teaching from Teachers College at Columbia University and A.B. from Harvard University.
KATHRYN MCCURDY | SUPERVISING FACULTY FOR MATH & SCIENCE
Dr. McCurdy serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of New Hampshire. Prior to working at UNH, she taught at the Roxbury Prep Charter School. She holds a Ph.D. in Education from the University of New Hampshire, an M.A. from the University of Michigan, and a B.A. from the University of Kansas.
JESSICA ROSE | SUPERVISING FACULTY FOR HUMANITIES
Dr. Rose serves as Assistant Superintendent in the Lincoln Public Schools. Prior to working in Lincoln, she worked in the Framingham Public Schools, at the Rhode Island Department of Education, and at the Boston Preparatory Charter Public School. She holds an Ed.L.D. and an M.A. in Education from Harvard University and a B.A. in Education from Brown University.
Dana SALVIA | Director of elementary training
Ms. Salvia began her career in 2006 as a middle school math teacher in Maryland. She went on to teach for the Academy of the Pacific Rim, a high-performing charter school in Hyde Park, MA for six years. After earning her Master's in Educational Leadership from Simmons College, Ms. Salvia transitioned to a founding Dean of Curriculum role at UP Academy Dorchester. After three years in education turnaround, Ms. Salvia joined the Sposato team as Director of Elementary Training.
Christine Schepeler | Director of Math and Science Training
Ms. Schepeler worked as a Science Teacher at Boston Collegiate Charter School and as a Sposato coach before joining the Sposato team full-time. Prior to working at BCCS, Ms. Schepeler taught Math and Science as a TFA Corps Member in Phoenix, AZ. She has a Master's Degree in Education from Arizona State University, and a B.A. from the University of Michigan.
alex judson smith | supervising faculty for elementary training
Dr. Smith is the Senior Vice President for Education at Acelero Learning. Prior to Acelero, he worked at Bridge International Academies and at Teach for America. He holds an Ed.L.D. from Harvard University, an M.Ed. in ESL from the University of St. Thomas and B.A. Degrees from the University of Utah.
nnenna ude | president and chief executive officer
Ms. Ude is a Boston native who attended Boston Latin School and then Dartmouth College. While at Dartmouth, she majored in Psychology and devoted a significant amount of her time to advancing minority recruitment initiatives. Ms. Ude began her work at Match in 2012 as Director of Operations at Match's middle school. Prior to being appointed Executive Director of Match's PreK-12 school in December 2017, Ms. Ude worked as the COO of the full school. She considers it a privilege to be able to serve students and families from her city and is committed to helping Match's students succeed in and out of the classroom.
Additionally, Ms. Ude serves as the President and CEO of The Match Foundation, Inc. and Executive Director of Match Charter Public School, overseeing the staff and all programming in those entities.
